Frequently Asked Questions
How much does class cost?
Class fees will increase to $250 per term from term 3.
This reflects rising costs and allows us to continue offering high-quality programs, support staff, and performances, while preventing burnout.
I’m committed to keeping drama accessible. Here are support options:
AKC Grant – Covers full fees for Health Care Card holders
Payment Plans – Available upon request
Sibling Discount – 2nd child is $210 per term
Annual Discount – Pay upfront for the year and get 10% off
Thank you for helping Play Every Day grow sustainably.
Adult classes $140
How do I pay?
Option 1 – Invoice
After your child’s first class, you’ll receive an invoice via email from my accounting system (it will come from a Hnry account). You can pay this online.
Option 2 – AKC Grant low income support (Health Care Card holders)
You may be eligible for full funding through the Australian Kids' Co Foundation.

To apply, you’ll need a quote from me first — just ask and I’ll send it through!
What do I wear?
Clothing:
Please wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move in — like leggings, trackies, t-shirts, or a jumper. It gets really cold in the Meadows location in winter. We sit on the floor, play physical games, and move around a lot, so flexibility and comfort are key, please wear bike shorts or leggings under skirts.
Shoes:
Sneakers or sandals are fine, but many students prefer to go barefoot during class. If students prefer to take off shows please make sure they wear shoes they can easily take on and off.
What to bring?
A water bottle – there is no drinking water available on site, so please make sure they bring one.
Any medications your child may need – if so, you’ll need to complete a short medication form (we’ll send this to you).
Any fidget tools or sensory items that help with focus – these are welcome during seated activities only.
We provide all other materials — just bring your energy and imagination!

Ages are flexible — the most important thing is that your child feels comfortable in their group. Let us know if you're unsure which class is the best fit!
🌈 Do you ask for pronouns?
Yes — we invite all students to share their name and pronouns during introductions if they feel comfortable.
We know that names and pronouns are important and can change over time. Sharing is always optional, and students are welcome to express themselves in the way that feels best for them — no pressure, no judgment.
Our goal is to create a space where everyone feels safe, respected, and seen. If there’s anything specific you'd like us to know about your child’s identity or support needs, feel free to message us privately at any time.
Do I need to sign a waiver?
Yes — all families will need to sign a waiver before attending their first class.
You’ll receive the form via email or in class, and we’ll always be available if you have questions or need help filling it out.
Your child can’t attend class until the form is returned — so please complete it as soon as you can.
What is your sick policy?
If your child is feeling unwell, please do not send them to class — even if it’s just a cold.
Please ensure you are leaving appropriate contagious periods into account before sending your child to class. If you are unsure please reach out.
To report an absence, please text before class.
(Please don’t use Dojo, email, or Messenger for same-day absences — I won’t see them in time!)Unfortunately, we’re not able to offer refunds or make-up classes for missed sessions, as our program costs are fixed for the term.
Thank you for helping keep our community safe, healthy, and running smoothly. 💛
What is your hot weather?
Classes will still go ahead during warm weather, but we always prioritise safety and comfort.
If temperatures are extreme (especially 36°C or higher), we may:
Modify activities to be less physical
Move to a cooler space if one is available
Shorten the session slightly if needed
Please ensure your child:
Brings a full water bottle (there is no drinking water on site)
Wears cool, breathable clothing
Has any required medications (with a completed medication form if needed)
If we need to cancel a class due to unsafe conditions, we’ll notify you via SMS Broadcast as early as possible.
👉 Where possible, we’ll offer a make-up class, which may take place during school holidays or at another agreed time. If a catch-up class isn’t feasible, please note that no refunds will be issued, as our program and staffing costs remain fixed.
